Mocs Madness Racquetball Tournament Set For Jan. 18

The 2014 Mocs Madness Racquetball Tournament will take place on Saturday, Jan. 18, starting at 9 a.m. at UTC's Harrison Racquet Center. This is located on UTC's Campus at the corner of Vine Street and Houston Street.  

Proceeds from this charity racquetball competition will benefit Children's Hospital at Erlanger.  

The price will range, depending on how many events are played, from $20-$55.  

This is a non-sanctioned tournament. USAR rules apply. All entries and fees must be received by Jan.

UTC's Russ Huesman is Quarterback Club Speaker Today

UTC head football coach Russ Huesman is the scheduled speaker for today's Chattanooga Quarterback Club lunch at Finley Stadium at noon. The lunch is open to the public and the cost is $10. Georgia Northwestern Win Two at Welch College Invitational

After two narrow losses in their past two games, the Georgia Northwestern Bobcats took out their frustrations in a big way at the Welch College Invitational in Nashville, Tenn. Over the weekend. Ladaquis D. Southers, 29, Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Terrence Bivens

Ladaquis D. Southers, 29, has been arrested in connection with the homicide of 28-year-old Terrence Lebron Bivens. Southers was arrested in Atlanta by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force on Friday.  He is awaiting extradition back to Hamilton County.  He will be charged with criminal homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm. Grote Hall At UTC To Reopen Tuesday After Sinkhole Is Deemed To Pose No Danger

Grote Hall at UTC will reopen on Tuesday after a thorough inspection determined that a sinkhole posed no danger. The campus building was closed on Monday with all classes cancelled.
