Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office Stocking Full Of Love Toy Run Rescheduled Due To Weather

Due to the wet weather forecast for this Sunday, it has become necessary to postpone the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office Stocking Full of Love Toy Run.  The run will be held on the rain date scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15. 

Participants are asked to meet at Big Lots at 1503 LaFayette Road, Fort Oglethorpe, at 2 p.m. Bikers will leave Big Lots at 2:30 p.m. on the run to Ringgold High School. 

Those who would like to donate a gift but are unable to attend the run may leave the gift at First Volunteer Bank in Ringgold or Fort Oglethorpe.

  


Donations Way Up For Firefighter MDA Fundraiser

The Chattanooga Fire Department’s annual Fill the Boot fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association last week was the most successful one in the fire department’s history. Sewell Says City, EPB "Close" On Amount Owed By Utility To City On Street Light Overbilling

City Internal Auditor Stan Sewell told City Council members on Tuesday that EPB and the city are "close" on the amount owed by the utility to the city on street light overbilling. Mr. Sewell said the city computed the amount at about $1.2 million, while he said EPB's auditing firm, Mauldin and Jenkins, has it at $1.5 million for an 89-month period that was audited.
