Carroll Henry, 91, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, January 31, 2013.

Mrs. Henry was born in Dallas County, Ala., to Allen and Eleanor Young.  She was a long standing member of Northside Presbyterian Church.

She retired from Chattanooga Public Schools as a secretary at Sunnyside Elementary. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dunlap Henry; sons, George, John and James Henry; grandson, Corey Heath Henry; and siblings, Mary Young and Jenny Pace.

Surviving are her grandsons, Joseph Henry and John Dallas (Darla) Henry; great-grandchildren; and nephew, William (Dee) Pace.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Feb. 2, with a noon funeral service at the funeral home.

Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. CST Saturday at Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston, Ala.

Memorial donations may be made to the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, 727 East 11th Street, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.

Robert "Bob" Arthur Alexander, Jr., 72, of Chattanooga, died on January 29, 2015 at his home. Bob grew up and attended schools in Southern California. He graduated in 1964 from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA with a B.S. in math and went on to work at Transamerica Occidental Life insurance Company where he studied to become an actuary. A female student stabbed a male student twice at Lookout Valley Middle High School on Thursday morning. It happened in a middle school classroom.
