Retired After 31 Years From DuPont

Betty Lou Wilson, 81, of Soddy Daisy, died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center. 

Betty retired from DuPont after 31 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed square dancing and clogging.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zeke and Chili Swindell; sister, Peggy Swindell Burgess.

Survivors include her sons, Elbert Roy Wilson, Jr and Michael Allen Wilson; sister, Sherry Swindell Darling-Haskin; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Wilson Fielding, Christopher (Ashley) Wilson, Jeremiah (Michell) Buchanan, Eric Wilson, Daryl Wilson and Joshua (Carla) Wilson. great-grandchildren, Hadley and Devin Buchanan; and several close nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Dewayne Renfro officiating.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, Tn. 38148
