No injured employee in this state will say there is anything fair about the proposed changes to workers compensation "Deform."
Consider yourself hypothetically as partially or totally disabled from some work-related hazard. Calculate your actual entitlement then see how fair it really is. Don't listen to what others tell you.
Employees of this state beware. How long will this group continue to prey upon the victims in this state?
In addition, tort deform only helps the wrongdoers.
That's why Big Auto is trying to push tort deform. Only hurts the victims in this state and benefits drunk drivers. Last year's "laws" hurt the victims in this state enough. And please don't claim its good for "jobs" when Big Auto and pharmacies that spread meningitis aren't creating jobs here.
Also, I understand the puppet from Germantown is pushing some more tort deform to hurt the people of this state. Time to stop it. If you ask the question, "does this law benefit a drunk driver that just crushed my loved ones in an intesection?" and the answer is "yes," vote against it.

Well, I see we have another diatribe about tort reform from the ambulance chaser James R. Keenamer, aka Jay Kennamer. I guess his next letter will be signed J. Rayburn Kennamer. I assume by using multiple names he is trying to show there is widespread support for tort reform, which obviously there isn't.
You see, Mr. Kennamer, the way our system works is we have these pesky little things called elections. We elect our representatives based on how we want them to vote when they get to Nashville. Since Republicans have an overwhelming majority in both Houses and Governor Haslam got elected with almost 70 percent of the vote, it would appear that you and your fellow "slip and fall" attorneys are out of step with the vast majority of Tennesseans.
I do admire your concern for victims of drunk drivers. Maybe you should admonish your fellow attorneys who run ads all the time advertising how they can get the drunks off with a slap on the wrists to curtail their activities. But of course, if there were no drunk drivers on the road causing accidents, then you might be out of a job. Also, I find your statement that, "Big Auto is not creating jobs," in the state downright ludicrous. Have you ever heard of Nissan or VW?
There is one solution to your problem. I noticed you graduated from the University of Alabama and Samford Law School. If you don't like the way we operate in the state of Tennessee you can always move back to Alabama. Remember, I-59 runs north and south.
