Confirmation Class Begins At Burks United Methodist

A confirmation class at Burks United Methodist Church, 6433 Hixson Pike, will begin on Sunday, during the Sunday school hour. The topic will be "The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus."

The Young Adults and Youth will host a Super Bowl Tailgate Cookout on Sunday, at 5:30 p.m. in the gym. Bring sides, drinks and desserts and make a  contribution toward the cost of the meat.

The United Methoidist Men's monthly breakfast will be Feb. 9 at 8:30 a.m. The speaker will be Scott McMahon.

Make reservations by Thursday, Feb. 7, by calling the church office.
