Kenneth Wayne Sanders  52, of Whiteside Community, died on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at his residence.

Kenneth was employed by Pilgrims Pride, was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and an amateur golfer. He always loved traveling and seeing new places with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Ann Keef Sanders; grandparents, Azee and Burton Sanders and John W. and Lucy Mae Sanders.

Survivors include his father, John T. Sanders; sisters, Karen Sanders Gore and Cristy Sanders Phillips; nieces, Candy (J.J.) Pangle, Whitney (Jackie) Ross, Alicia Phillips; nephews, Brent Farmer, Micah Phillips; great-nieces and nephews, Isaac Pangle, Kaelynn Farmer, Harmony Ross, Willow Ross, Jocelyn Ross, Alex Hardin; several great aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the chapel with Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hooker Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 11, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Teenager Killed In ATV Accident Thursday Night

Damon Lee Jones, 15, was killed Thursday night in an ATV accident in Walker County. It was reported he was riding with a 17-year old, when they tried to enter a church parking lot, but ran into a cable barrier. The accident happened on Dunwoody Road in LaFayette.
