Signal Mountain Genealogical Society Meeting March 5

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Walden Town Hall. 

John Wynne will be presenting a program on “Charles James and the beginnings of Signal Mountain.”Mr. Wynne, a native of Signal Mountain, is noted for his in-depth knowledge of the history or our community. 

Refreshments will be served at 1:00 p.m. and the business meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m.  Visitors are always welcome.

Suzann Odum, 59, Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash On Highway 153

A single-vehicle crash on Highway 153 early Saturday morning claimed the life of 59-year-old Suzann Odum. At approximately 1:15 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 240 Highway 153 northbound for a  traffic crash.  The driver of the vehicle, Ms. Odum, was pronounced dead on the scene.  Traffic Investigators are working to determine the cause of the accident ... Girl, 14, Killed, Man Injured In Separate Jet Ski Accidents On Boone Lake At Tri-Cities
