Margie Reynolds, 87, was born in Adairsville, Georgia, and died on February 12, 2013 in a local hospital.

She retired from Erlanger Hospital. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Christian Community Church. She was also a member of the PUSH Women’s Board, Action Coordinating Council and an Eastern Star.

Survivors include her children, Carolyn (Sherman) Matthews, Catherine Mumen, and Michael Reynolds.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at Wesley Chapel with Reverend H.H. Wright and Reverend Brenda Benn officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery

The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, Feb. 17, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.

Bell, Mae Emma

Mae Emma Bell, 88, departed this life on Thursday, October 13, 2016.  She was affectionately known as “Babe” and was born April 5, 1928 in Athens, Georgia to Harrison and Carrie Jones Handy.   She came to Chattanooga as a teenager and soon united with Phillips Temple CME church, where she served faithfully on the Usher Board for years.    She leaves ... Firefighters Respond To Residential Fires Friday Night, Early Saturday Morning

Chattanooga firefighters responded to two fires Friday night and early Saturday morning. The first fire occurred around 11 p.m. Friday and was located at 7128 Lea Road.
