Waters, Phyllis Gail (LaFayette)

Phyllis  Gail  Waters,  54,  of  LaFayette, GA,  died  Friday,  February 8, 2013.

He was preceded  in  death  by his parents,  Wayne  and  Verda  Ladd  Waters.

Phyllis  graduated  from  the  LaFayette  High  School  in  1976.  She  has  an  Associate’s  degree  in  business  from  Dalton  State  Collage  and  worked  for  Datel  Communication  in  Chickamauga.

He is survived  by  sisters,  Jimmie  Denson and  Bobbie  Davis,  both  of  LaFayette,  Vickie  McGlee,  of  Hixon and  Dena  Ramey  of  Trion;  brothers,  Wayne  Waters,  Walter  Waters and  Stevie  Waters,  all  of  LaFayette;  11  nieces;  four  nephews; and  several  great-nieces  and  great-nephews.

Funeral will be held  from  the  LaFayette  First  United  Methodist  Church  Thursday, February 14 at  4 p.m.  Service will be  conducted  by  Rev.  John  Moore  and  Dr.  David  Boyle. Pallbearers  are  Marcus  Waters,  Steven  Denson,  Marcus  Denson,  Johnathan  Denson  and  Charles  Rennard. Interment will be  in  the  Arnold  Cemetery.

The  family  will  receive  friends  at  the  funeral  home  Wednesday, February 13  from  5-9 p.m. at the   Wallis-Wilbanks  Funeral  Home,  LaFayette, who has charge of the arrangements.

Daisy Elementary Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Daisy Elementary School was evacuated on Friday, after a threatening message about a bomb was found on a wall.
