Freddie Pauline Bates, 68, died on February 10, 2013. 

She was a longtime employee of the Farmer's Market.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Smith and sister, Ruby Jackson, and grandson, Henry Ezell Caslin, Jr.

Survivors include six children, Agnes (Cristal Holloway) Caslin, Bennie Caslin, Alisa Caslin, Victor (Denise) Caslin, Henry (Tracee) Caslin and James Smith; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; devoted cousins, Olean Herring, Brenda and Oscar; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 16, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
