Asalee Elder, 74, died on February 7, 2013 in Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. at Rock Island Baptist Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Feb. 15, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.

Motorcyclist Dies In East Brainerd Crash Sunday Night

A motorcyclist died in a crash in East Brainerd on Sunday night. At approximately 10:07 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 8776 Igou Gap Road. It was found that t he motorcyclist left the roadway for unknown reasons. T he rider was pronounced deceased on scene by HCEMS. I nvestigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Erlanger Chooses Epic Software For New $100 Million Electronic Medical Records System; CEO Judy Faulkner To Visit Chattanooga

Erlanger CEO Kevin Spiegel announced that the Chattanooga hospital has chosen Epic Systems for a new electronic medical records system that he said will cost close to $100 million over 10 years.
