Commissioner William Brown Honored For Service As TFWC Chairman

William Brown, of Chattanooga was honored by being presenting a plaque at the conclusion of the February meeting of the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission on Friday.

Mr. Brown, an attorney, served as the governing board of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency the past two years, first as chairman of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission and of the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission, which assumed its new name last July. 

Also present were TWRA Executive Director Ed Carter and newly-appointed commission officers for 2013-14, Secretary Jim Bledsoe (Jamestown), Chairman Dr. Jeff McMillin (Bristol), and Vice-Chairman Jeffrey Griggs (Lexington). 

Mr. Brown will continue to serve as a member of the commission.

Lightning Strike At Collegedale City Hall Will Cost City Tens Of Thousands

Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
