Why I Support Andrae McGary - And Response

Sunday, February 17, 2013

Many people in Chattanooga will be surprised that I am endorsing Andrae McGary for City Council in District 8. I've known Andrae for about five years now, and disagree with him on most topics. I'm a proud right winger, and he's a proud left winger.

So why am I supporting him - simple. While we disagree, we can talk intelligently about the various issues, and sometimes we can actually change each other's minds. No shouting, no insulting remarks - just respect for each other's opinions. Andrae has done a good job for District 8 and the city of Chattanooga; his opponent will not.

Most importantly, he is his own man and will stray from the accepted line given by the mayor and City Council leadership to do the right thing. I hope you'll join me in voting for Andrae McGary.

Mr. McGary was the only one that reached out to me when he was on the City Council. He is a very caring and intelligent man with a fresh sense of enthusiasm.

My business, 423 market, wanted to partner up with the pedicabs downtown to put simple television advertising screens on the back of them. Mr. McGary helped organize professors and town leaders to push our agenda. He was very helpful, although our screens did not pass, he was one of the only ones I was proud to have represent City Council.

He is a wonderful man and candidate. He gets my endorsement for sure.

At least four jobs were open in and around Wade's hometown, Nashville. No one mentioned his name. While Blackburn was preaching in the Chattanoogan Room about the fairness of the ... It subsequently became popular fare for many artists including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and others, becoming a popular hit, twice, for '60's activist and protester Judy Collins. I first thought of it as just another boring, elevator music attempt by a former HippyChic to pump up her ... (click for more)
