Elaine Jordan Bennett, 77, of Ringgold, died on Sunday, February 17, 2013.  

She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was of the Baptist faith.  

Elaine was born to the late William L. and Ella May Sutton Jordan in Whitfield County, Ga. 

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Geneva Bryant. 

She is survived by her husband, of 25 yrs., George Bennett; sisters, Marlene Cady, of Dalton, and Judy Entrikin, of Ohio; brothers, Herman Jordan of Dalton, Dewayne Jordan, of Ohio, and Dewight Jordan, of Ohio; special sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Sisk; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Donald Self officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, all day on Tuesday, and prior to the service on Wednesday, Feb. 20.  

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home-Wallis-Stewart Chapel.

A Chattanooga woman has been charged in the death of an Orange Grove Center client whose body was found April 18 at an Orange Grove residence. Cliftina K. After police on Wednesday released clear photos of a man who tried to tried to rape a woman in the MLK Neighborhood, multiple callers said it was "Tom" who works at Amazon.
