Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On Hunt Road In Bradley County

Monday, February 18, 2013

A man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Hunt Road in southeast Bradley County on Monday night.

Just after 9 p.m., Bradley County Emergency Medical Service responded three ambulances and a shift commander to the 1500 block of Hunt Road. Reports were that a single vehicle had struck a power pole.

It was thought at first that there could be multiple occupants of the vehicle. When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found power lines on the ground and extensive damage to the vehicle.

The car dragged the power pole and came to rest against a tree.

Bradley County Fire and Rescue responders removed the driver from the vehicle. The male driver was the only occupant and appeared to be in his twenties. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Bradley County Sheriff's Department and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the accident.
