Iside Maria Liberato DiBiase, 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. 

She was born in Raiano, Italy, and moved to the United States when she was a child. Iside was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend. Over the years she enjoyed traveling to her home in Italy where she is loved by many. 

Iside is survived by her husband of 47 years, Isidoro DiBiase; two daughters, Daniela Williams of Mocksville, N.C., and Elizabeth DiBiase of Denver; and one son, David DiBiase of Chattanooga; granddaughters, Meghan and Stephanie Williams; and two sons-in-law, Michael Williams and Jeff Guay.   

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Hixson.

Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
