Man Sought For Local Armed Robberies Arrested For Johnson City Holdup

A man wanted for two local armed robberies has been arrested along with another man after a holdup in Johnson City, Tn.,

Chattanooga Police had just put out an alert seeking the arrest of Martell Jones in connection with two armed robberies. Police said Jones was involved with a robbery from the Speed Mart at 3100 Dodds Ave. and the Cricket Store at 2700 Broad St.

Jones was armed with a weapon during both robberies.

Jones has been charged here with three counts of aggravated robbery, attempted murder, and kidnapping.

Jones, 26, was arrested Monday in Unicoi County along with Ledarius Owens, 27, who is also from Chattanooga.

Police said they were stopped using spike strips after an armed robbery at Little Caesar’s Pizza in Johnson City at 8 p.m. Monday.
