Basil Evans died on February 19, 2013.

Basil was born in Charleston, W.V., on Dec. 30, 1916. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a gifted architect, talented general contractor, and incredible husband and father.

Basil ministered to his wife as caregiver for over 10 years. 

He is survived by his daughter, Bette E. Wells, and his sons, Brent Evans, Bryan Evans, and Barry Evans.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Cliff Roth officiating.

The family will gather with friends on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Church, Dallas Hollow Road Hixson, or Hospice of Chattanooga.
