Elva Woy, 87, of Hixson, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.  

She was co-owner, with her husband, of Woy Grill in LaGrange, N.C. Elva loved her husband, all children and her gardening.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Carol Minnick.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Charles H. Woy; daughters, Sondra Darlene Nicholas of Port St. Lucie, FL and Barbara (Roger) Gravitte of Randolph, N.J.; sons, Charles Gionfriddo of Rolla, Mo., and Ronald (Jeanne) Gionfriddo of Forestville, Ct.; stepdaughter, Mary (Rick) Atwood of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepson, Charles E. (Tracy) Woy of Hixson; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend Craig Paul and Reverend Reece Fauscette officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.  

Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night.
