City's Bike Share Program Passes 13,000th Rider

Chattanooga's Bike Share program has passed the 13,000-rider mark, Bike Coordinator Philip Pugliese said.

He said about half of the riders are local and the other half are visitors to town.

Mr. Pugliese said bicycle traffic in Chattanooga is up 27 percent, and bikes on buses up 25 percent.

Three new bike stations are slated to open this spring.
