The second of two men charged in connection with the theft of a pickup truck in Hamilton County that wound up stuck in mud in Florida has been returned to the Hamilton County Jail.

Crutis Edwin Ball, 34, of 8334 Springfield Road, Soddy Daisy, is charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $10,000.

Arrested earlier was Brandon Wilson.

Police said Ryan May reported a break-in at his home on Armstrong Road last May 29. The rear door was kicked out and some silverware was taken.

The burglars found keys in the kitchen and drove off in a 2008 Ford F-350 belonging to Samuel May. The vehicle was worth $17,000.

About a week later, Florida authorities reported that the May pickup truck was mired in mud in Marianna County.

Ball's wallet was inside the vehicle as well as identifying information on both men.

Ball and Wilson were arrested in Florida when they were interrupted by the owner while they were trying to steal a tractor.
