Lillian King Lawrence, 88, of Dalton, GA, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

Lillian was born May 29, 1924 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Fred King and Marguerite Ross Buffington; and was also preceded in death by her husband Earl Lawrence; brothers, Richard and Carl King; and sisters, Geraldine Mowery and Aurelia McLaughlin. 

Lillian is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Roy Lawrence of El Paso, TX, Carl Lawrence of Boulder, CO and Richard and Debbie Lawrence of Severance, CO; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Spanjer of Dalton and Peggy Gardine of Goodland, KS; a brother, Rodney King of Parkersburg, WV; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 

Graveside Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lillian Lawrence will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Interment will follow with military graveside honors as she is laid to rest next to her husband. 

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, February 24.

Medal Of Honor Museum Hopes To Finally Find Permanent Home At Coolidge Park
