Sgt. Jimmy Clifford Cook, 70, formerly of East Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in Jacksonville, Florida, due to a long-term illness.
He served 24 years in the military serving our country.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jimmie Ruth Fricks Wilson; father, Gordon Clifford Cook, Jr.; grandmothers, Cora Cook and Sallie E. Ward; grandfathers, Gordon Clifford Cook, Sr. and James Bud Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Donnie Lee Cook of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Debra Fulhite and her husband, David and Patricia D. Stevens and her husband, Edward; two brothers, Franklin L. Cook and Roger Dale Fricks and his wife, Connie, all of Chattanooga; several nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
