Elizabeth Mercer

Elizabeth M. Mercer, 93, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, February 22, 2013.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, the JOY Group and the LIFE Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, C.C. Mercer.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Gates, Conley James (Sherry) Mercer and Martha Mercer (Jess) Whitlock; grandson, David Conley Mercer all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

She was also a mother to Richard Knight Harrison and Manuel Christi.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Reverend David Hall and the Reverend Lawrence Clark officiating.

Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
