Firefighters Endorse Chip Henderson For City Council District 1

The Chattanooga Firef ighters Association,IAFF local 820, announced that the union is endorsing local businessman Chip Henderson for the District 1 seat on the Chattanooga City Council. The union represents more than 200 men and women.

“We voted to endorse Chip Henderson because of the commitment he places on making essential services a top priority,” said Jake Case, the recording secretary of the Fire Fighters Association.

” We also felt that his background in small business made him the best qualified candidate for District 1.

 

”We encourage all voters in District 1 to vote for Chip Henderson on March 5.”.

“I am certainly humbled to have the support and endorsement from our firefighters throughout District 1 and the city of Chattanooga,” said Mr. Henderson. “Our fire department is core to city services and is essential to public safety.”

 

Mr. Case said, “we encourage all voters in District 1 to vote for Chip Henderson on March 5.”

Woman Injured, Man Dead After Shooting Outside Collegedale Walmart

One man is dead and a woman injured after a shooting near the Collegedale Walmart on Sunday afternoon. The man apparently shot the woman in the lower extremities prior to taking his own life. The incident was at the Game Stop in Ooltewah around 2:20 p.m. The woman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to the legs. (click for more)
