Jon Meacham Speaks At 40th Annual Thorne Sparkman School

Jon Meacham’s gave the opening address at the 40th annual Thorne Sparkman School. He spoke to an  audience of over 300 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, on American Gospel: Religion, Politics, and a Way Forward. He reflected on his Chattanooga roots and his friendship with/support of Mrs. Ruth Holmberg and other locals in attendance. He took questions from the audience, and then signed copies of his works following his presentation.

Bradley County Police Investigating Shooting; Victim Dies

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Georgetown Road. The Sheriff's Office said Sunday night that the victim had died. Dog Saves Woman From Fire At Highway 58 Area

A homeowner reported that her dog saved her life early Friday morning. At 12:52 a.m. , the homeowner called 911 reporting a fire at 8411 Providence Road (Highway 58 area). The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived reporting a log cabin with flames coming through the roof.
