Mattie Grace Brown, 79, of Summerville, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at her residence.

She was born July 9, 1933 in Chattooga County, daughter of the late George & Mary Dawson Williams. She was retired from Mt. Vernon Reigel Textile and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Patsy & Junior Bowman, Summerville; brother, Walter Williams, Lafayette; and several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 25, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating. Interment to follow in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. and include Jamey Cooper, Randy Hunter, Frank Smith, Kenneth Blansit,  Dewayne Hampton & David Wilkerson. Honorary Pallbearers are the Ladies of Mt. View Baptist Church.

Ms. Brown will lie-in-state at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home on Monday where the family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. 

Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
