Maxie Wayne Knight, 74, of McDonald, Tennessee, died on Monday, February 25, 2013.

Mr. Knight was born and raised in Sylacauga, Ala., Leonard and Edna Knight.  He was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church, Ed Flemings Fellowship Class, and retired from Kraft Foods as a sales representative.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Carole J. Knight; children, Keith (Beverly) Knight, Karen (Eric) Allen and Kelly (Brandi) Knight; grandchildren, Jerry (Brandy) Knight, Tayler Knight, Madison Knight, Jessalyn Allen and Kristen Allen; great-grandchildren, Megan and Tanner Knight; and sister, Sondra (Rick) Mims of Marietta, Ga.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home. 

Graveside services will be at Marble City Cemetery in Sylacauga, Ala., at 1 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Feb. 27, with Chaplain John Adams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, Tn. 37214, or a charity of choice.
