Couple Rescued From Dalton House Fire Remain Hospitalized At Augusta Burn Center

A couple rescued from a burning house in Dalton last Wednesday morning remain hospitalized at a burn center in Augusta, Ga.

They were identified as Danny and Joy Hunter.

Both victims were treated at the scene and then flown by helicopter to the burn center.

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:03 a.m. to the structure fire at 217 Griffin St. When they arrived at 12:07 a.m., they found the structure on fire and forced entry through the front door while another crew ventilated the structure by cutting a hole in the roof.


19-Month-Old Boy Dies In Whitfield County

The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched on Monday at 2:25 p.m., to a residence at 124 Latonia Drive, in reference to a child not breathing. Upon arrival, officers found the deceased body of a 19-month old male child. Chattanooga Attorney Struck By Car After Leaving Cleveland Courthouse

A veteran Chattanooga attorney was struck by a car after leaving the courthouse in Cleveland, Tn.,  on Wednesday. Art Grisham suffered serious injuries.  He was taken to a local hospital. Attorney Grisham is an elder at New City Fellowship Church. (click for more)
