Air Force Veteran Retired From U.S. Postal Service

Dewey Carroll Rader, 89, Chattanooga died on Monday, February 25, 2013 in a local health care center.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Rader was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, McKindrie and Zella Mae Rader, brothers, Kyle and Colbourne Rader; sister, Pauline Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Lucile Clift Rader; sister, Louise (Harold) Hamby, all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Gary Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, and 12-2 p.m. on Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
