6 Stores Fail Alcohol Compliance Check

The Chattanooga Police Department’s Regulatory Bureau, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission, and the Hamilton County Anti-Drug Coalition conducted a series of compliance checks this past Saturday night. During the check, an underage buyer attempted to purchase alcohol from 13 different businesses where seven of the stores checked the ID and refused the sale, and six stores failed.

The seven businesses that passed the check were:

Mimi Mini Mart, 2304 Glass Street

Fast Stop, 2285 Wilcox Blvd.

Big K Liquor, 909 Dodson Ave.

Island Liquors, 5987 Brainerd Rd.

ABC Liquor Store, 3948 Brainerd Rd.

Jack’s Liquor, 216 Market St.

Welcome Liquors, 2000 Market St.

The six businesses that sold to the underage buyer were:

Red Fuel, 2601 Harrison Pike

Triple T’s, 2801 Dodson Ave.

Sandy’s Mini Market, 400 Glass St.

Citico Mini Market, 1320 Citico Ave.

Quick Stop, 1301 N. Holtzclaw Ave.

Lamplighter Liquor, 5032 Brainerd Rd.

The beer stores will be in front of the Beer Board at a later date. The liquor store will face an administrative hearing in Nashville at a later date. 


2-Month-Old From Dalton Dies In Tragic Home Accident
