"Sins Of The Tongue" Series Continues At Church Of The Highlands

Dr. Jeremy Roberts will speak on "Bleepity Bleep Bleep -- Sins of the Tongue," on Sunday, at the 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services at The Church of the Highlands, 6620 Hunter Road, Harrison. His text will be Isaiah 59:1-4 and Proverbs 6: 16-19.

Date Night will be Friday, from 6-9 p.m. To register for free childcare for children through sixth grade, email the children's pastor, Steve Witing at stevewiting@hpbc.net.

Starting Point, a new members' class, will be Sunday at noon in the cafeteria. Childcare and luncheon will be provided.


World Impact Launches Program To Address Gang Violence

Fire On Crutchfield Street Ruled Arson

Chattanooga fire investigators have determined that last Thursday’s fire at 1207 Crutchfield St.  that nearly killed four people was deliberately set. Lt. Henry McElvain with the Fire Investigation Division said he cannot divulge the reason why he thinks it’s arson, but he is asking for help from the public. Shiquita Tarpkin, 29, And Dominique Bonds, 25, Shot On Windsor Street

Shiquita Tarpkin, 29, and Dominique Bonds, 25, were shot on Windsor Street on Wednesday night. The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating the shooting that is believed to have occurred in the area of 2300 Windsor S. shortly after 10 p.m. Ms. Tarpkin arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
