Auction Scheduled At Bayside Baptist

An auction for the Peru Missionary Retreat will be on Saturday, at Dallas Bay Baptist Church, Northgate Campus, behind Northgate Mall. The silent auction will be from 12-2 p.m. and the live auction from 2-3 p.m.

The Rev. Ken Duggan will begin a new sermon series on "Why I Believe," on Sunday, at the main campus, at 8495 Daisy Dallas Road. The services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. will include observance of the Lord's Supper and music by the preschool choir.

The Voices of Mobile will be in concert on Wednesday, at 6 p.m. in the Worship Center.

Mayor Berke Pledges $6 Million For New Recreation Center At Avondale

Mayor Andy Berke announced Thursday that he plans to include $6 million in his upcoming budget for a new Recreation Center at Avondale.
