U.S. Air Force Veteran Retired From TVA

Dewey Wayne Riden, 81, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, died on Wednesday morning, February 27, 2013 at Standifer Place Healthcare. 

He was a member of Signal Mountain Church of Christ, was retired from TVA, loved woodworking, photography and painting. He also served in the United States Air Force and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. 

He was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Martha Riden; two sisters, Luzell Walker and Marie Wall; three brothers, Amos, Warren, and Carey Riden. 

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor P. Riden; two sons, Jeffrey W. Riden, Signal Mtn., and Kendall (Tammy) Riden, Charleston, Tn.; grandchildren, Ashley Riden, Haley (Mark) Heier, Brayden Riden; one great-grandson, Boston Heier; three sisters Maggie Penney, Joliet, Il., Virginia Vandiver, Fort Oglethorpe, and Sara Riden, Ala.; three brothers, Ivan (Peggy) Riden, Harrison, Harold Riden, Ms., and William Riden, Hixson; several nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Signal Mountain Church of Christ.

Medal Of Honor Museum Hopes To Finally Find Permanent Home At Coolidge Park

Officials of the National Medal of Honor Museum said Wednesday they hope to finally find a permanent home at Coolidge Park.
