Cleveland State Hosts Allied Health Advance Information Sessions

This fall, the Advance program at Cleveland State Community College will be offering a new, evening general education block schedule that will prepare students for any of CSCC’s allied health programs. Students can continue their educational career in a variety of health fields, after completing this nine-month program.

Advance is Cleveland State’s accelerated degree program that offers students a quick and convenient way to obtain a college degree. The benefits of Cleveland State’s Advance program includes, attending class once or twice a week, being with the same group of fellow students throughout the program, and attaining the degree in a much shorter period of time.

Information sessions have been scheduled for those that are interested on Tuesday, March 19 and Tuesday, April 2, for the main campus in Cleveland. Sessions in Athens will be held on Tuesday, March 26 and Tuesday, April 16. All sessions will be at 5:30 p.m. Participants attending the sessions may also apply to the college at this time. The application fee is $20.

To be admitted to the program, students must have completed all Learning Support and eligibility requirements. The accelerated format excludes Anatomy and Physiology that must be taken during a regular 15-week semester.

McCallie underclassmen who have earned a 3.3 cumulative grade point average and have demonstrated "excellent character, leadership, service and scholarship" are eligible to apply for membership into the McCallie School Chapter of the National Honor Society.
