Michael Bloomburg And The NRA - And Response (2)

Thursday, February 28, 2013

Hooray to Bloomburg’s vast fortune and as he promised he intends to dampen the power of  the NRA to buy politicians. Chalk one victory in Illinois yesterday and more to come.

The National Rifle Association has and will lose its clout simply because it has lost its relevancy to serve the public. The NRA once stood for gun safety and gun instruction to the youth of this country. I was one of those that received NRA gun safety instruction. I was also in the military and qualified on many heavy weapons of war. Training me to kill the enemy. The NRA now fosters guns that kill innocents and gloat at the death toll.

In the financial pockets of weapons and ammunition producers it is the mission of the NRA not for gun safety but for gun, ammo, guns and more ammo because the NRA’s balance sheet is heavy with contributions from Smith and Wesson, Marlin, Remington and the many ammo makers.  A 100 capacity magazine can use up a lot of ammo in a very quick time and the ammo manufacturers gleefully provide . The AR-15 which can be modified to become a machine gun is a gleeful reminder to Wayne L and his cronies that money just keeps rolling in.

Something must be done and our local politicians will give only lip service. I have contacted the 6th District representative and as you probably already have guessed, he doesn’t even reply to voter concerns.  He wants only to be reelected.

Mr. Brooks,
Its pretty obvious how you feel about the NRA, guns, ammunition, and magazines, as this opinion, and your previous opinion articles exemplify your feelings.

I believe you would be much happier if you moved to the safe haven of New York, that way you can be closer to Mayor Michael Bloomburg, and not have to worry about all these wicked guns here in Tennessee.

In suggesting a more "peaceful" place for Mr. Brooks, don't forget Chicago, where I understand they have the strictest gun laws in the country.  Never mind that they among the worst in murders and crime, I believe Mr. Brooks will find everything he's looking for, and therefore be happy.

But I have a question for Mr. Brooks and anybody suggesting any type of gun restrictions.  Tell me, please, how you plan to keep criminals from obtaining any of the multi-millions of guns out there?  Simple question.  What's your response?

Thanks, Sheriff

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department is very responsive and professional out in Apison, and I appreciate that.  We have some fine deputies serving Hamilton County.    I took a minute to call and tell them thank you, I hope my neighbors will also. Brian Wood Apison (click for more)

Questionable Moc Coaching Choices - And Response

David Blackburn proved that he rolled an elder vice chancellor to hire Will Wade. I can't find one game Wade coached. Should we think he is a better coach than the Georgia coach that won the SEC? At least four jobs were open in and around Wade's hometown, Nashville. No one mentioned his name. While Blackburn was preaching in the Chattanoogan Room about the fairness of the ...
