Held 46-Year Career As A Registered Nurse In Several Area Hospitals

Shirley Ann Bourn, 70, of East Ridge, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at a local hospital.  

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area where she worked as a registered nurse for 46 years in several area hospitals.  She mostly worked at Erlanger Hospital.  She was a United States Army veteran and she attended the Jones Memorial United Methodist Church.  Her passions in life were her family, nurturing, and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Davis and Velma Crittenden.

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Chadwick of East Ridge; two grandchildren, Lindsay Wyatt and Brandon Edmondson; and two great-grandchildren, Drew and Alex Wyatt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Humane Society, 214 N Highland Park Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404, or to the McKamey Center, 4500 North Access Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Reverend Larry Dial officiating.  Full military honors will be provided.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
