Mitch McClure Speaks On "Learning How To Love Others" On Sunday

Monday, February 04, 2013

Middle Valley Church of God, at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, is announced that it has adopted the theme, "Demonstrating Our Love," for the month of February.

Pastor Mitch McClure said, "As we enter the new year, most individuals make goals and resolutions relative to their lives. These include exercise, diet, work habits, and, even, their spiritual life. It is our plan to encourage those who attend Middle Valley to think about their relationship with God as we enter the new year. I shall be preaching specially developed sermons each week in February."

Pastor McClure will speak on the topic, "Learning How To Love Others," in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday.

Pastor McClure will lead the church in a time of Scripture reading and worship in the 6:30 p.m. service on Sunday, Feb. 10. The church is participating in the READ Initiative of the Church of God. READ encourages all to read the Bible on a daily basis with the goal of reading the Bible through in 2013.

Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. classes are made available for all age groupings. Pastor McClure is presently leading a Bible study on Grace. This study is partially based on a book by Dr. David Jeremiah and is titled Captured by Grace.

Sunday School is available each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all age groupings.

Middle Valley Church of God was founded in 1946 and has served the Middle Valley community from the same location concentrating on community ministry with various ministry partnerships.  For additional information, please contact Pastor McClure at 423 843-1539.  Pastor McClure can also be followed on Facebook and Twitter (@McClure1Mitch).

Location Of The Delta Queen Is The Problem

The Delta Queen is a magnificent part of history and in many ways I'm pleased she is in town. Having the boat where she is is the problem. The boat blocks the view of and from the prettiest park in our town. The crew take many of the parking spots around the park leaving families to park across Frazier and schlep their kids, strollers and picnics to the park. You don't get fireworks ... (click for more)

Last May ... (click for more)
