Cashier Robbed At Gunpoint At Ringgold Road Kangaroo Store On Monday

A cashier was robbed at gunpoint on Monday at a Kangaroo convenience store. 

East Ridge Police received a hold-up alarm at 9 p.m. from the store at 4011 Ringgold Road. Police arrived within two minutes of being dispatched, and the cashier advised them that an unknown black male entered the store with a firearm and demanded money from the register. During the robbery the suspect also demanded other items from the store. The suspect fled the scene in what was described as a white, older model car. Cash from the register, lottery tickets, and cigarette packs were all stolen during the incident. 

East Ridge Criminal Investigation Division responded and gathered evidence, and the investigation is ongoing.

McCallie Continues Winning Ways At Lee Tournament

McCallie used balanced scoring on Wednesday at the Lee Invitational to stay undefeated. Fourteen players scored for the Blue Tornado as they defeated Walker Valley 58-45.
