Chattanooga Chamber Announces Small Business Award Finalists

The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the 2013 Small Business Awards.

The recipients and finalists will be honored on March 13, during the Small Business Awards Luncheon celebrating small business and entrepreneurial excellence in Chattanooga.

The event will take place at the Chattanooga Convention Center from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. The finalists are:

·         1-20 Employees: CommunicationVIP, Headlight Renew Doctor and Yogi’s Primo Promo

·         21-50 Employees: Hullco Exteriors, March Adams & Associates, Inc. and Woople LLC

·         51-200 Employees: Chattanooga Allergy Clinic, Mike Collins & Associates, Inc. and SupportSeven

Finalists for the nonprofit organization of the year are Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga, McKamey Animal Center and Teen Challenge of the Mid-South.

To qualify for a Small Business Award, companies must have owned and operated a business in the Chattanooga MSA for a minimum of three years, have shown exemplary success within their industry and have displayed a high level of community involvement and corporate citizenship. Nonprofit organizations must be committed to ethical practices, engage in community service and exert a positive impact on the community. Candidates for the awards come from the Chattanooga Chamber membership.

The Small Business Awards Luncheon is held in conjunction with the EXPO Chattanooga, the region’s largest tradeshow of local business. The EXPO will take place in the room adjacent to the luncheon hall from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
