James Clark

James H. Clark, 75, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at a local hospital.

James was born in Grantville, Ga., to the late Willie and Dora Clark.

He was a graduate of Howard High School class of 1957. He retired from Erlanger Hospital in 2005.

He was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Ellen Clark, Russell Clark, Nellie Robinson and Rev. Willie D.Clark.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Juanita H. Clark; children, Rosalind Clark, Philadelphia, Pa.; Sharon Clark, Yolanda Faye Jones, Lebron Furgerson, Jeffery Hudgins; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Mattie C. Sims, Rev. William (Sylvia) , Rev. Emmitt (Janet) Clark; sisters and brothers-in-law, Callie Clark, Betty King, Liz Edwards, Walter (Martha) Hemphill; nieces, nephews; one uncle; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, Feb. 11, at the chapel. Interment will be in the National Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, Feb. 10, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.

Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
