Lorene Johnson Flerl, 91, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. 

She was a longtime member of the Oak Street Baptist Church. Ms. Flerl loved to chrochet and cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty eight years, John T. Flerl; sister, Ovena Cross; brothers, Howard Johnson, Flay Johnson and Claude Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, John (Sandra) Flerl, David (Nancy) Flerl; daughter, Linda (Joe) Carroll; grandchildren, Michelle Carroll, John E. Flerl, Melissa (Kenneth) Ewton, Tona (Brian) McBryar, Joshua D. Flerl, Sarah Flerl, Hannah M. Flerl; and great-grandchildren, Katie Duncan, Jordan Duncan, Kenlee Ewton, John G. Flerl, Gavin Flerl, Blaine McDowell and Caitlin McBryar.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Gary Akins and Reverend Alan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7. 

The family especially thanks the staff, nurses, and CNA’s of Soddy Daisy Healthcare for the love and care provided for their mother.
