Vance “Hugh” Riddle Jr., 70, of East Ridge and Apison, Tennessee, died on February 7, 2013 in the Chattanooga Hospice Center.

Hugh was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the carrier USS Shangri La CVA 38.

He was a business owner and avid golfer. He was a member of Dale Ray Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Lottie Riddle, daughter, Kimberly Michelle Riddle and Patricia Riddle.

Survivors include his son, Danny(Linda) Finley, Travelers Rest, S.C.; grandson, Taylor Gersky of Taylor Mi.; sisters, Marilyn Klingemann, New Braunfels, Tx., Peggy (Neil)  Mason, Lompoc, Ca., Pamela Powell of Taylor, Mi., Paula Penny of Romulus, Mi., Penny Riddle and Pauline Riddle of Melvindale, Mi.; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Eveann Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Preacher Josh Hollifield officiating.

Burial will follow at Plowman Cemetery, Apison.

Linda “Darlene” Silvers, 65, of Rossville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. She had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of her life and was a member of the City Church in Chattanooga.
