Betty J. Carter, 72, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in a local healthcare facility. She was of the Baptist faith. 

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Ulis Carter; her parents, John Douglas and Willie Mae O’Daniel Deford; her grandson, Ryan Andrew Hughes; and her brothers, William Donald Deford and Harold Deford. 

Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Hughes and husband, Phillip of Cleveland and Tammy Lynn Sievers of Clinton, TN; seven grandchildren, Billy Ray Caylor, Tamara Lynn Roach, Donna Marie Cox, Austin Lee Hughes, Erika Brooke Hughes, Tyler Alexander Hughes and Kaylea Nicolle Hughes; and special friends, Eva Cantrell and Carol Jean Henry. 

Fike Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. At her request, there will be no services.

Blackmon, 68, of Trion, GA, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at her residence.  Born in Chattooga County, GA on January 21, 1944, she was a daughter of the late James Randolph and Mozelle Love Moon.
