David Keith Farris, Jr. Arrested After 2-Month Investigation Into Thefts In Bradley County

Officers from four law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Marshall’s Service took David Keith Farris, Jr. into custody on Friday, in the Birchwood community of Hamilton County, ending efforts over the last two months to locate and arrest the suspect.  

Farris, 35, who is known as D.J., was being sought on warrants filled by Bradley County Sheriff’s detectives and the Cleveland Police Department following a number of battery thefts at businesses and construction sites. Other agencies assisting in trying to locate Farris were the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Meigs County Sheriff’s Office. 

The suspect was traced to his parent’s home Friday morning and was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail on their charges and will be held on warrants filed in Bradley and Meigs Counties.

The BCSO filed charges in November of two counts of theft over $1,000 stemming from battery thefts at J and J Marine on Georgetown Road and a construction site on Holloway Road. 

The Cleveland Police Department has filed additional theft charges related to investigations they are conducting.  


County Says Unincorporated Voters Would Have To Approve Distilleries
