Book Club Meets At Signal Mountain Baptist

The Book Club at Signal Mountain Baptist Church, 939 Ridgeway Ave., Signal Mountain, will meet on Monday, at 7 p.m. in the conference room. The book will be "I Never Thought I'd See the Day," by David Jeremiah.  

An adult Bible study of the gospel of Mark will begin Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room.

A Kids' Night Out for Everybody's Birthday, for kids through fifth grade, will be Friday, Feb. 15 from 6-10 p.m. with games, candles, balloons and pizza. Reservations are needed by Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Dr. Steven Wright will speak at the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday, on "The Great Shema," with text from Deuteronomy 6:4-5. Sunday School is at 9:45 a.m.

Red Bank Joining Signal Mountain In Move Toward Possibly Taking Over Schools

Red Bank is joining Signal Mountain in the move to study a possible revolt from the Hamilton County Schools. At a work-study session on Tuesday, the five commissioners agreed to form a five-member feasibility study on the issue at the first of the year. Shannon Whitfield is already at work eliminating the position he won by a landslide in the recent election.
