Hixson Kiwanis Club Offers Church Softball League

Friday, March 01, 2013

The Hixson Kiwanis Club announced the continuation of the Church Softball League that began nearly 60 years ago.

Officials said, "After struggling through last season with one refurbished field, we are pleased to say we have a new field ready for use this season. This makes available two good fields for playing slow pitch softball.

"For those of you that had teams last season we again thank you for your patience and invite you to participate again this season and invite other teams at your church to participate. For those who did not have a team last season we encourage you to be a part of the Hixson Kiwanis Club Church softball League. We have both Men’s and Women’s teams."

Those interested are invited to attend an organizational meeting on March 19, at 7 pm. The meeting will be in the Student Ministry Building of Hixson United Methodist Church. The building is accessed from Old Hixson Pike just north of the church main entrance.

If you are interested, but can not have representative at the meeting, please contact Bill Gotschall at 875-3092 or boom68@live.com, or Ron Fugatt at 842-9635 or rnfugatt@epbfi.com.
