GPS Inducts New Members Into National Beta Club

The four officers of the GPS chapter of the National Beta Club – Emma McCallie, president; Sarah Cobble, vice president (not pictured); Nicole Raisin, secretary; and Mae Baird, treasurer – presided over the February induction of new members.  

Welcomed into the honorary organization for their academics, character, leadership skills and involvement in service were 39 members of the Upper School. Senior inductees were Rachel Celestine, Rachel Durham, Katherine Estep, India Green, Jalesa Poindexter, Rebecca Rose, Vivian Shi, and Junmin Wu.

New junior class members include Madeline Bickerstaff, Eleanor Brock, Alexandra Brzezienski, Kristen Carter, Margaret Clark, Emily Cullum, Elizabeth Graham, Rachel Hadden, Caroline Hood, Lauren Hood, Madeline MacLean, McCay Mathis, MaryMadison McBrayer, Megan Rohn, Tara Shanahan, Bonnie St. Charles, Lauren Winkler, and Emily You. 

Sophomore inductees were Rebecca Goodrich, Najia Humayun, Abby Jansen, Kathleen McDougal, Hannah Thel, Katherine Ward, and Margaret Winchester. New freshmen tapped for membership were Alexandra Newberry, Rachel Raisin, McKinley Self, Ayushi Sinha, Anna St. Charles, and Laura Zeiser.


Fifth Annual Day Camp For Individual?s With Autism Set June 17-20

The fifth annual Camp Spectrum will be held at Lee University’s Helen DeVos College of Education from June 17-20. Woman Found Dead On Lovell Road; Police Looking For Terry Releford

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case. Deputies responded to that location at approximately 8 a.m. on a suspicious death. On arrival "deputies found a dead female in her 30s deceased from an apparent homicide."
