Here is the weekly top 10 for Chattanooga Parks and Recreation:

#1   4th Annual St. Pawtrick's Day Dog Walk and Yappy Hour Saturday 
Join DOGood Chattanooga for the 4th Annual Event at Renaissance Park on Saturday at 10 a.m. in North Chattanooga. After a walk, the party moves to the courtyard at Whole Foods (Greenlife) at noon.  Support the group that supports us in keeping parks clean and dog friendly. #2   Free Youth Baseball Signups Start This Week 
Starting Friday, youth ages 5-12 can sign up for free baseball this spring and summer. Games played weekly at Warner Park, and come with full instruction and games, with opportunities to compete in regional and national tournaments.  Stop by a local center or call Richard at 643-6055.   Volunteers are needed too.  
 
#3   Sign Up For Golf Lessons at First Tee Chattanooga For Spring
Chattanooga Parks and Recreation will support the nine core values taught at the First Teen Chattanooga Facility off of Hickory Valley Road in Chattanooga. #4   Free Youth Dance Classes at Eastdale Community Center On Mondays
For ages 6-18. Learn different styles of dance from Urban Ballroom Dancing to hip hop and more.  Exercise for all ages and is available for both girls and boys. Swing by Eastdale Community Center Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at 1312 Moss Dr. 697-1289. Other youth dance classes available at Hixson, 490-9289 and East Chattanooga, 697-1281, Community Centers. 

#5   Intro to Hanggliding Free Saturday at Coolidge Park 
Discover the process of learning to pilot a hanglider, from ground school to the first leap off of the mountain. After a short presentation, Outdoor Chattanooga and Lookout Mtn. Flight Park staff will put together a glider and demonstrate some ground techniques (weather permitting). From 3-5 p.m. at Outdoor Chattanooga in Coolidge Park. #6   Chillin' LIke Villains Karaoke at the Zoo Tuesday
Chillin' Like Villains is a young adult social group for individuals who have various disabilities. They meet once a month at different locations around town, and do a variety of activities such as attend sporting events, potluck dinners, movies and more. Join the fun Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Zoo Education Building.  Families are encouraged to come. Call Jessie at 643-5716.  Cost is $5.

#8  Rescue Prom March 23 at Hixson Community Center - Free Dresses
Rescue Prom will join Hixson Community Center for this huge one day event offering thousands of free prom dresses, accessories, fittings and more. The entire gym floor will be filled. Teens are welcome from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at 5400 School Dr. in Hixson. For more information call Crystal at 298-4246 or click here

#9  Music Party at Chatt Town Skate Park 
Chatt Town Skate Park in collaboration with WANLove will invite bands to play music in the "rink" part of the park on Tuesday, March 26, during open hours of 3-9 p.m. No extra fees will be charged. Call the Skate Park or Jeannie at 423-4324 for more information (weather permitting).  

#10  Free Citywide Easter Egg Hunt At Warner Park
There will be 25,000 eggs, face painting, food and games, bounce house, music and fun.  The fun begins at 5 p.m. at Warner Park on Thursday, March 28. Just show up, it's all free.  Click here for more information. Plus hunts at Carver and Westside Centers.




Ladies’ Leisure Ride Is Sunday

The Ladies’ Leisure Ride is a slow-paced cruise through downtown Chattanooga, just for the ladies. Follow the course of US Pro Cycling Road Race, at a leisurely pace.  Finish with dinner downtown with other ladies who like to bike.  The ride will be held Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Miller Plaza - 850 Market St.  There will be Nightfall closures in effect Sunday afternoon, ... Ride For Freedom Motorcycle Events Fights Human Trafficking

Second Life of Chattanooga and The Zion Project are partnering to host the Ride for Freedom, a motorcycle poker run on Saturday, June 1. Registration will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Thunder Creek Harley Davidson at 7720 Lee Highway. Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Erlanger Hospital by LifeForce helicopter about 3:15 a.m. The driver was transported by Hamilton County EMS. It is believed he had non-life threatening injuries. ... City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
